At the beginning, there were "Billie's Bounce" and "Out of Nowhere" on the program. Although both are already jazz standards, they feel different every time. In Billie's Bounce, it's about energy, groove, and bebop lines, while Out of Nowhere offers many exciting possibilities for improvisation with its harmonies. This exact mix is what makes jazz appealing to me.
This was followed by wonderfully varied original compositions—particularly those by Giagiacomo Rosso—in which all the musicians once again demonstrated their soloistic skills.
Afterwards, I took the opportunity to participate in the jam session led by Tizian Jost and accompanied three standards on the double bass.
I personally wished for "Alone Together" and really enjoyed the 16 minutes at the piano with my fellow musicians on stage!
